Since February 2022, students from Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS aka MyIPS) have engaged with Aviation and Aerospace stakeholders. The program creates exploration and experiences that lead to enrollment opportunities. Though other names were tried, an administrator tagged the activities throughout the year as MyIPS Aviation Day and it stuck. So, any day can be MyIPS Aviation Day.
Following in-school preparation, students can choose to attend an out-of-school experience as well. During out-of-school experiences, aviation and aerospace leaders and technicians spend the morning interacting with students and educators. The learning experience focuses on awareness, relationship building, and relevance.
